Talofa and hello to everyone. My name is Losa Pepe, i am one of the
leaders of an up and coming Niutao youth Group based in West
Auckland, NZ along with my Niutao sisters Malama Papau and Pelea
Nofoaiga. Our youth group is called NFL which stands for Niutao for
Life and Ignite meaning the youth of Niutao will rise up and
represent our little island of Niutao. The aim of our youth group is
to give our Niutao youth vision and the heart to represent their
island and become leaders of our small nation and to be the best that
they can be in everything they do.

For the Pasifika Festival 2008 opening NFL Ignite was chosen to
represent Tuvalu with a 3 minute item about an eel which was the
theme for Pasifika 2008. The group was last to perform that night
and we aimed to end it with a BANG! Which we did. The crowd was
wild and they enjoyed the kids performance. Also on the actual
Pasifika day The 3 Kalas performed which is our own Nto band lead by
Fealofani. Pasifika 2008 was truely a proud time for all Ntos as it
was well represented by it's young people. It was a truely proud
moment for myself as a Niutao woman.

Think not what your island can do for you but think what you can do
for your island.
